The Strategy

As part of Lysol’s Healthy Habits Program in partnership with the National Education Association (NEA), National PTA, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) we were charged with developing interactive, experiential modules for teachers and children grades K-5 to help them build illness prevention habits.

To support Lysol’s mission to curb the spread of illness in classrooms, we developed a simple strategy. Gamify the process of learning healthy habits and mobilize it all in a school bus reimagined as a science museum on wheels.

By educating communities about healthy habits best practices, we helped Lysol sharing its mission to help kids miss less school so they are able to learn and grow and thrive.

The Execution

To support Lysol’s mission to curb the spread of germs in the classroom, we worked with Havas Media to develop an integrated media campaign promoting the launch of the “Lysol Healthy Habits” bus.

When children return to school each year, in addition to new backpacks and pencil cases, they often bring something else with them: germs. These germs keep kids out of school and keep them from learning.

That’s why we developed engaging and educational interactive displays with ten different kiosks designed to teach children about germs for the Lysol Healthy Habits bus, a science museum on wheels.

The bus stops at schools, community centers and educational conferences, showing kids and teachers how to spread healthy habits, not germs.

As strategic lead, my goal was to lead the team to create interactive gaming experiences that would keep children engaged and interested.

Each game features touch screen interactive kiosks that taught children and school staff the science behind germs, where they hide, and how to keep healthy.

Parents could engage with the modules via Facebook and share progress easily within the Facebook connected module.
